Welcome to the Georgian Bay Garden Club

The Georgian Bay Garden Club (GBGC) has been bringing people together for over 30 years to share in their love of all things gardening. Joining the GBGC connects you with gardeners giving you the opportunity to socialize with other green thumbs, learning opportunities from expert gardeners, and civic beautification through community gardening. As we look to the future, we focus on gardening with sustainable practices. GBGC is a member of the Garden Clubs of Ontario and an associate member of the Royal Botanical Garden.

Georgian Bay Garden Club Mission

To encourage knowledge and love of floral design
To encourage civic planting and beautification
To encourage responsible stewardship of the environment

What members say about the Georgian Bay Garden Club?

Anne Dondertman

I recently moved to Owen Sound and joined the club, because of my love of gardening and previous experience with horticultural societies. This club is very community focussed, as they design and maintain a very large public garden, which is beautifully situated right on Georgian Bay. There is plenty of opportunity to get your hands dirty and do some actual gardening. The members have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share, and there are occasions to socialize as well.
