Georgian Bay Garden Club Bursary

Growing the Gardeners of Tomorrow

Today’s youth will be the leaders of tomorrow, ensuring the preservation of the natural resources of our planet. The Georgian Bay Garden Club provides an annual bursary to Grey-Bruce students who are pursuing post-secondary education in Horticulture, Landscape Design, Environmental Studies or Floral Design.

The $1000 bursary is available to graduating students from the Bluewater District School Board, the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board and the French Language School Board as well as current post-secondary students who graduated from any of the above school boards and are or will be pursuing studies in Horticulture, Landscape Design, Environmental Studies or Floral Design.

The application deadline is June 30 2024, and the application package can be downloaded in pdf format.

Applications are comprised of:

Letter of Application
Current year/last year of study official transcripts
Financial Summary
Two Letters of Recommendation
Proof of acceptance to the post-secondary institution

The Bursary is awarded annually to a student that demonstrates:

An aptitude in the field of Horticulture, Landscape Design, Environmental Studies or Floral Design
A proven track record of academic success
Financial Need
Additional weight given to applications that demonstrate community involvement and volunteerism
